(GLO) - Currently, the Education Department of Gia Lai province is proactively preparing for the enrollment of preschool, grade 1, and grade 6 students for the 2026-2027 school year.

Accordingly, localities and schools are focusing on reviewing student data, preparing online enrollment infrastructure, and publicly disclosing enrollment information to facilitate the registration process for parents.

According to the guidelines of the Department of Education and Training, the registration period for the 2026-2027 school year will be conducted online from June 1st to 10th. Schools must complete the selection process before June 12th and announce the results before June 19th.

These days, many educational institutions, from preschool to junior high school, are focusing on reviewing the number of students within the eligible age range, updating data, and developing enrollment plans that suit the specific conditions of each institution.

At Hoai Chau Bac Kindergarten (Hoai Nhon Bac ward), teachers and local authorities are coordinating efforts to investigate the number of children of school age.

According to the plan, the school expects to enroll 270 children and organize 10 groups/classes next school year. Currently, 73 children have completed the preschool program and are ready to enter first grade.

Ms. Tran Thi Hong Hue, the school principal, stated that accurately verifying the number of children in the eligible age group is crucial for the school to proactively develop enrollment plans, arrange class groups, allocate teachers, and ensure adequate care and nurturing for the children. Furthermore, the school is strengthening communication with parents regarding enrollment timelines and necessary documents to facilitate a smooth registration process.

Meanwhile, at primary schools, preparations for student enrollment data and placement into grades 1 and 6 are underway to reduce pressure during peak periods.

Mr. Le Anh Dao, Principal of Vo Thi Sau Primary School (Duc Co commune), informed: For the next school year, the school will enroll approximately 140 first-grade students, of which about 20% will be from ethnic minority groups. At the same time, the school will have about 160 students who have completed the primary school program and will be entering the 6th grade.

Based on the projected number of students, the school proactively develops a plan for classroom allocation, teacher assignments, and preparation of appropriate facilities. Simultaneously, teachers are assigned to assist parents in accessing and completing the online enrollment process smoothly.

Similarly, for lower secondary schools, schools are focusing on preparing plans to receive students who have completed the primary school program according to their enrollment areas, ensuring that the admission process for grade 6 proceeds smoothly and in accordance with regulations.

Mr. Le Tan Dat, Principal of Cat Thang Secondary School (Ngo May commune), said that the school is coordinating with primary schools in the area to update the expected number of students entering grade 6, and at the same time preparing the necessary information technology infrastructure to serve online enrollment according to the plan of the Department of Education and Training.

Enhance the application of information technology.

Along with reviewing data and preparing facilities, many schools are also focusing on promoting the application of information technology in the enrollment process for the first grade.

According to the enrollment plan for the 2026-2027 school year, registration for the first grade will be conducted online. Application forms will be printed from the enrollment software; student information will be synchronized through an identification code on VNeID.

This is considered one of the key areas prioritized by the education sector, facilitating the registration process for parents while simultaneously improving the efficiency of enrollment data management.

At Y Don Secondary and High School (Dak Po commune), the school is focusing on promoting the public disclosure of enrollment information on online platforms and at the school.

The school announces the application procedures and enrollment timeline to facilitate parental oversight. Early preparation gives parents more time to research and complete their child's application.

Meanwhile, at Luong The Vinh Secondary School (Quy Nhon ward), Ms. Nguyen Thi Mi Sa was assigned to assist parents in accessing the online enrollment system.

According to observations, many parents are still unfamiliar with the system, so the school proactively provided guidance early on to avoid confusion when the official registration period begins.

In addition to student recruitment, the education sector also requires localities and schools to continue reviewing infrastructure and teaching staff, reducing class sizes, and improving the quality of teaching and learning.

Proactive and synchronized preparation of conditions from an early stage, especially online enrollment infrastructure and student data, is expected to help the enrollment process for the 2026-2027 school year proceed smoothly, creating a sense of readiness for parents and students before the start of the new school year.
