(kontumtv.vn) – On the afternoon of June 13, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the Conference to approve the Project on organizing a parade and march in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day and the Project on organizing a parade and march in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

According to the Project, the parade and marching program will be organized solemnly, dignifiedly, regularly, safely and economically; the participating forces will be streamlined and modern; demonstrating the unity and regularity of the people's armed forces; the cultural identity and aspiration for peace of the nation. Besides the parade and marching forces, there will also be torchbearers, honor guards, ceremonial artillery, air force saluting, and background forces. The training process of the forces is divided into 3 stages before the event officially takes place. In addition, the Project also affirms that agencies and units, according to their functions and tasks, ensure combat readiness according to plan; strictly control the airspace, sea areas, border gates, and border lines, ensuring safety for the celebration.

Delegates discussed and contributed many specific opinions on the content of the Project such as the number of blocks, the number of rows in the block, the names of the blocks, tanks, armored vehicles, weapons, equipment participating in the parade; the welcoming flight formation of the Air Force.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong directed relevant agencies and units to urgently deploy all aspects of preparation work; especially mobilizing human resources, weapons, equipment, proactively establishing assigned parade and marching groups to soon start practicing.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the General Department of Logistics to direct the Quartermaster Department to proactively study some uniform models that are not yet in the payroll to report and propose to the Head of the Ministry of National Defense for consideration and decision; assign the General Department of Defense Industry to research and produce integrated combat helmets to ensure safety for the forces. In particular, units with military artillery forces should proactively prepare training plans, survey maneuver routes, and assembly locations to ensure safety, on time, and in accordance with the actual situation.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong assigned the Military Training Department (General Staff) to absorb the opinions at the conference, revise the Project, seek opinions from central and local departments, ministries and branches to complete the Project to submit to the Central Military Commission Standing Committee, leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, then submit to the Prime Minister for approval and implementation.
