Hanoi in autumn always has a special charm, and when mentioning autumn, one cannot help but think of Phan Dinh Phung Street - the street known as the most romantic in the capital.
From the very beginning of September, as the weather gradually becomes cooler and gentler, this street starts to become much livelier. The ancient tamarind and mahogany trees shed their leaves, casting shade onto the wide sidewalks, creating a peaceful and antique scene.
A distinctive feature of this street every autumn is the abundance of colorful flower carts. From pristine daisies and dreamy purple asters to vibrant yellow sunflowers, they all blend together to create the most ideal backdrop for photographs.
From the beginning of autumn, areas around the gates of Phan Dinh Phung High School, the Cua Bac historical site, and the intersections with Dang Dung and Nguyen Bieu streets have been crowded with people taking photos. Groups of young people, families, and tourists from afar all want to seize the opportunity to capture the essence of Hanoi's autumn.

In their flowing ao dai dresses or elegant gowns, holding bouquets of flowers, these young women transform into "muses," creating truly artistic photographs.
Ms. Phan Thi Bich Ngoc, a tourist from Hung Yen , couldn't hide her excitement: "Phan Dinh Phung is the most romantic street in Hanoi. I want to capture this moment of early autumn."
The meeting place of the "muses"
The allure of Phan Dinh Phung Street stems not only from its natural beauty but also from its accompanying service "ecosystem." Responding to the needs of locals, many professional and amateur photographers are readily available on the street to serve visitors. Equipped with cameras, flashlights, and reflectors, they are prepared to help tourists capture the best possible photos.
Nguyen Thanh Trung, a freelance photographer, shared that autumn is always his busiest time of year.
"I often advise clients choosing bright-colored outfits when visiting this location so they can stand out on the street," Trung advised.
He also mentioned that Phan Dinh Phung street has many beautiful photo spots, such as the area around the City Gate (North Gate), the flower floats, or the two rows of lush, ancient trees.
The ideal time to take photos on this street is in the morning (from 7 am to 9 am) and in the afternoon (from 3 pm to 5 pm). During these times, the sunlight is gentle, not too harsh, resulting in clear and harmonious colors in the photos.
