On the morning of April 1st, in Hanoi , the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations held a conference to study, understand, and disseminate the Party's Resolution, with the participation of 2,800 delegates at 9 locations.
The conference aims to raise awareness and unify will and action throughout the Party organization; serving as a basis for concretizing these into the work programs and plans of each agency, unit, and Party organization in the coming period.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Tran Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations, stated that in the past period, continuing to implement Resolution 18 of the Central Committee on reforming and streamlining the political system's organizational structure for effective and efficient operation, the Politburo and the Secretariat have issued many guiding documents, including Conclusion No. 126 dated February 14, 2025 and Conclusion No. 127 dated February 28, 2025.
These two conclusions provide profound guidance for the continued restructuring and streamlining of the political system's organizational apparatus, ensuring synchronicity, effectiveness, efficiency, and suitability to the requirements of reform in the new era.
Specifically, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central mass organizations are tasked with coordinating with the Central Organization Department, the Party Committee of the Government, the Party Committee of the National Assembly , and the Party Committees of political and social organizations and mass associations at the central level assigned by the Party and State to conduct research on the orientation for further restructuring political and social organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be directly under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (in line with the current Party organizational structure). At the same time, they are to propose amendments and additions to relevant legal regulations and Party regulations, and report to the Politburo in the third quarter.
Regarding this matter, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee has reported to the Politburo and will incorporate the feedback to report to the Central Committee in April.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee is actively leading and directing a comprehensive review of the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of subordinate agencies and organizations, especially media agencies, in order to ensure unified management and efficient operation in a streamlined manner, maintaining only truly necessary units, and reporting to the Politburo in the second quarter.
At the conference, delegates heard presentations on three main topics: Breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation in accordance with Resolution No. 57; strengthening the Party's leadership over the education of diligence, thrift, integrity, impartiality, and selflessness in accordance with Directive No. 42 and Regulation No. 231 on protecting those who fight against corruption, waste, and negative phenomena; and implementing the supplementary plan on socio-economic development in 2025 with the goal of achieving a growth rate of 8% or higher according to Conclusion No. 123 of the Central Committee of the Party.
"The topics presented at the conference are all major, urgent issues with strategic significance in implementing the Party's major policies and directions," Mr. Tran Thang remarked.
