Hai Duong currently has 5 socio-political organizations including: Veterans, Farmers, Women's Union, Youth Union and Provincial Labor Federation, with nearly 1.3 million members. Of which, the Provincial Women's Union has 409,097 members under 207 Women's Unions of communes, wards and towns in the province, the most members.
These 5 socio-political organizations at the provincial level currently have about 150 cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
In addition to 5 socio-political organizations, Hai Duong also has 14 mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State, including: Red Cross, Elderly, Former Youth Volunteers, Blind People, Agent Orange Victims, Support for the Disabled and Orphans, Literature and Arts, Journalists, Oriental Medicine, Encouragement of Learning, Lawyers, Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations, Provincial Union of Cooperatives. The number of people working for each of these organizations varies.
According to the announcement of the 11th Central Executive Committee Conference, 13th tenure, on the organization of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned by the Party and State, the Central Committee agreed on the policy of arranging 5 socio-political organizations, 30 mass organizations assigned by the Party and State and other mass organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, with the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chairing consultations and coordinating unified actions.
The organization and streamlining of the apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State must ensure that they are oriented towards the grassroots, closely follow the locality, and take care of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people and members of their organizations.
The arrangement of socio-political organizations and mass associations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front will be completed before July 15.
