Stock market recovers

The charts of the VN-Index and VN30-Index show similar trends.

The HoSE index fluctuated in the first few minutes of trading, still feeling the effects of yesterday's selling pressure. The chart later turned green again, but remained around the reference level.

In the afternoon, the VN-Index gradually gained points driven by buying pressure. At the close of trading, the index rose by more than 14.3 points, reaching 1,282.2 points.

The number of rising stocks was 2.5 times greater than the number of falling stocks, at 342 and 139 respectively. The market was strongly supported by blue-chip stocks, with 26 stocks in the VN30 basket turning green. The VN-Index chart also showed a similar pattern to the VN30-Index.

VND was the most actively traded stock today with a liquidity of nearly 1,900 billion VND, accounting for 8.6% of the entire Ho Chi Minh City market. The stock mostly traded in the red and closed down 2.1%.

VNDirect's stock code is being affected following yesterday's hacker attack. The company's website is still showing a "repair" message and is not yet accessible.

Meanwhile, most stocks in the securities sector performed positively. The VIX rose 3.7%, with trading volume exceeding 730 billion VND. Stocks such as SSI, SHS, VCI, MBS, and FTS all gained 1-2.3%.

The stock market charts for the banking and real estate sectors also showed many gains. Stocks with good price increases in these two sectors include VPB, TCB, HDB, KBC, TCH, KDH, and HPX.

However, the market repeated the situation where liquidity moved in the opposite direction to the index. The total trading value on the HoSE decreased by nearly 7,400 billion VND, to approximately 21,900 billion VND. Foreign investors sold net nearly 175 billion VND. This was the 11th consecutive session in which they sold off their holdings.
