(NLĐO) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man urged National Assembly deputies, officials, and employees of the National Assembly Office to strive to double their achievements of 2024.

On February 3rd, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man held a New Year's meeting for the Year of the Snake 2025 with full-time National Assembly deputies at the central level, officials, civil servants, and employees of the National Assembly Office.

At the meeting, the Speaker of the National Assembly congratulated the National Assembly, its agencies, agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Office for successfully fulfilling the tasks assigned by the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Committee, the National Assembly Party Caucus, and the National Assembly.

Highly appreciating the fact that the agencies of the National Assembly, agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Office have seriously implemented Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee on organizing the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025, the Chairman of the National Assembly expressed his gratitude to the National Assembly deputies and officials and staff for their diligent work before, during, and immediately after the Tet holiday to prepare for the 9th extraordinary session with a spirit of dedication to the common good.

Regarding the tasks for 2025, the Chairman of the National Assembly stated that the workload is immense and urged officials, civil servants, and employees to continue building on the achievements of 2024, striving to double those achievements. At the same time, he called for unity and concerted effort to effectively implement the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus in accordance with Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee.

According to the Speaker of the National Assembly, after the restructuring, the agencies must maintain high levels of unity and cohesion. Regardless of any difficulties, all officials, civil servants, and employees must strive to overcome them in order to fulfill all targets, tasks, and resolutions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Central Committee, and the upcoming Resolution of the National Assembly Party Committee.

At the meeting, the Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office, Le Quang Tung, gave a brief report on the activities of the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Vice-Speakers of the National Assembly, the National Assembly's agencies, the committees under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly Office before and during the Lunar New Year.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly has instructed the Standing Committee of the National Ethnic Council, the Committees of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Office, and agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to strictly implement Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Party Central Committee, and Directives No. 45/CT-TTg and No. 46/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.

At the same time, effectively implement social welfare policies, taking care of the material and spiritual lives of officials, civil servants, employees, policy beneficiary families, people in difficult circumstances, poor households, and those in need of assistance...

The visits and New Year greetings by the Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the National Assembly were conducted thoughtfully, safely, economically, effectively, and in accordance with the actual situation. The National Assembly's agencies and agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly actively and urgently implemented their 2025 work programs and plans, ensuring timely progress; and strictly carried out assigned duties during the Tet holiday to promptly handle any arising issues.

During the Tet holiday, agencies continued to actively synthesize opinions from the Government, National Assembly agencies, and National Assembly delegations, studying options for revising and perfecting draft laws and resolutions that had undergone preliminary review, and continuing to coordinate and contribute to the drafting agencies in revising some draft documents.

In addition, we will receive other draft resolutions sent by the Government during the Tet holiday and organize research to arrange meetings with relevant agencies right from the first working days of the new year.

According to Mr. Le Quang Tung, before and during the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Snake, the National Assembly Office focused intensely on preparing for the 42nd session of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the 9th extraordinary session of the 15th National Assembly; in particular, it reported to the Politburo to seek approval for the organization of the session and sent the summons to the session right before the Tet holiday.
