Special art program reenacting the life of President Ho Chi Minh

Hoa Minzy, Anh Tu and a group of artists will sing in an art program honoring President Ho Chi Minh at the historic Ba Dinh Square on the evening of May 18.

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), a special art program called He is Ho Chi Minh will take place at 8:10 p.m. on May 18 at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ).

The program was broadcast live on VTV1 and widely broadcast on central and local television channels and digital platforms.

The special art program "You are Ho Chi Minh" will take place on the evening of May 18 at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi.

With a combination of historical documents, stage scenery and modern performance art, the program promises to bring a solemn and emotional artistic space, while strongly inspiring the public.

Through that, it helps viewers understand more deeply the life, career and ideology of Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader, beloved father of the Vietnamese people.

This is also a key cultural and artistic activity, contributing to propagating revolutionary ideals,educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality to a large number of cadres, party members and people nationwide.

The program is elaborately staged, divided into three main segments, including:

"Nguyen Sinh Cung - Nguyen Tat Thanh" recreates the family context, hometown and cultural traditions - the foundations that formed his great personality.

"Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh" depicts the journey of searching for a way to save the country, the process of forming revolutionary ideology, the leadership role of the Party and the nation throughout the historical stages from 1930 to the period of renovation and integration.

"Vietnam! The Era of Rising" expresses the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country, with President Ho Chi Minh as a noble symbol of Vietnam's qualities, intelligence and aspirations in the new era.

The highlight of the program is the elaborately staged art performances, blending traditional and modern music. Many songs associated with the image of Uncle Ho will be performed in the form of medleys, mashups, combined with 3D mapping technology to create vivid and engaging visual effects.

Some of the outstanding performances include: Last night I dreamed of meeting Uncle Ho - Green pinwheel - Who loves Uncle Ho Chi Minh more than children, Listening to the boat singing at night, missing Uncle, Footprints ahead, Party flag - The Party is my life, Each step I take, I love my country more...

The program brings together many famous artists such as Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Viet Danh, Hoa Minzy, Anh Tu, Ha Quynh Nhu, Hoang Hong Ngoc, Be Singer group..., along with artists from the Vietnam National Music, Dance and Dance Theater, stage artists and children.

Sharing about the overall idea, General Director Nguyen Trung Dung said: “ Throughout his revolutionary career, Uncle Ho had many different names. Each name marked a historical period and carried profound cultural and political values. We wanted to convey the image of President Ho Chi Minh, close, ordinary but extremely great, through the artistic journey associated with those names.”
