Art program "The country is full of joy": Impressive, magnificent

This is a program directed by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television and rebroadcast on television channels nationwide.

Attending the program were delegates: Mr. To Lam - General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , Secretary of the Central Military Commission; Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Former Politburo member, former President; Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung - Former Politburo member, former Prime Minister and many central and Ho Chi Minh City delegates.

The program opened with the suite "That Soldier" composed by Hoang Van with the participation of Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, Viet Danh, Xuan Hao, Trinh Phuong, Minh Hai, Xuan Dung, Duong Duc, Truong Lam, choir, dancers and musicians of the Army Ceremonial Group. The performance was grand, with a proud melody, depicting the image of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers", full of spirit.

The program "A Country Full of Joy" includes 3 major chapters. In which, chapter 1 "Aspiration for Unification" recalls the days of division, when the whole country went to war together.

In chapter one, the audience enjoyed the song "Cau ho ben wharf Hien Luong" composed by musician Hoang Hiep, choreographed by People's Artist Huu Tu and performed by Luong Nguyet Anh, Quang Duy and dancers. The dance performance "Dong Khoi" with music by Cao Xuan Dung, choreographed by People's Artist Do Hien, and performed by a dance troupe attracted the audience.

A composition by musician Van Ky titled "Song of Hope" performed by singer Do To Hoa continued the program. Next, the song "On the top of Truong Son we sing" composed by Huy Du, performed by Meritorious Artist Thang Loi; the song "Vam co dong" composed by Truong Quang Luc, performed by People's Artist Thanh Thuy and the singing group; the dance "Dat the steel citadel" choreographed by People's Artist Huu Tu, performed by the dancing group brought many emotions to the audience.

Singer Cam Van and the singing and dancing group promoted the feelings of patriotism and national pride through the song "Country" (poem by Ta Huu Yen and music by Pham Minh Tuan). The medley "The Country is Full of Joy - Spring in Ho Chi Minh City" composed by musicians Hoang Ha and Xuan Hong, performed by singer Tung Duong and a male and female choir ended the first chapter of the program.

Chapter two, "Aspiration to Rise," covers the period from 1975 to 1991. At this time, Vietnam healed the wounds of war, united in both economic recovery and fighting to protect the northern and southwestern borders, protect islands, independence, sovereignty, and unification of the national territory.

At the same time, Vietnam gradually formed a new economic structure, improved the material and spiritual life of the people, and carried out comprehensive national renovation according to the platform that our Party initiated at the 6th National Congress.

The opening song for chapter two is "The South will forever remember your grace" composed by Luu Cau, choreographed by People's Artist Huu Tu, and performed by People's Artist Thanh Thuy and the dance group.

Stirring up the stage atmosphere was the performance "Singing about rice plants today" composed by Hoang Van, performed by People's Artist Tu Long, People's Artist Thuy Linh and the group "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai".

Singer Tung Duong returned with the dance troupe to perform "Miner's Love Song" composed by Hoang Van and choreographed by People's Artist Do Hien. The consecutive songs: "Spring from the Oil Wells" performed by Meritorious Artist Phuong Anh with the female troupe and dance group and "Unforgettable Song" performed by singer Cam Van and the dance troupe closed the second chapter. Both of these songs were composed by Pham Minh Tuan.

Chapter three of the program is "Aspiration for Power" covering the period from 1991 to present. Under the leadership of the Party, the consensus of the entire people has brought the country a brilliant foundation, opening up new opportunities on the path of building a prosperous, flourishing, integrated and developed country, together entering the era of national growth.

At the beginning of chapter three, the audience enjoyed the mashup "Forgetting oneself for the people - Truong Sa military song" composed by two musicians Doan Quang Khai and Doan Bong with the performance of a choir of singers and dancers.

The traditional duet "Son sat mot niem tin" arranged by Colonel Vo Cong Phuoc, choreographed by People's Artist Do Hien, performed by singers Ngoc Nhu, Thanh Nhuong and a group of male dancers, continued the program.

The medley "Color of the soldier's shirt - Mother's daughter has become a soldier - The Party's call to the heart" performed by musicians: Nguyen Van Ty, Thuan Yen, Hoang Hong Ngoc, performed by Be Thien Kim and a group of children, Hoang Hong Ngoc, Hong Chinh, Kim Khanh, Huyen Anh brought different emotions to the audience.

The song "Young City" composed by Tran Tien, performed by Truong Thuy Duong, Hoang Nghiep, a female group and a dance group depicts a city shining with gold, full of humanity and generosity, with youthful vitality like a brilliant dawn.

The song "Melody of the Fatherland" composed by Tran Tien, singers Viet Danh, Trinh Phuong, Thang Loi, Xuan Hao, Duong Duc, Minh Ngoc, Luong Nguyet Anh, To Hoa, Hong Chinh, Thu An, along with choir, symphony orchestra, created a heroic and proud atmosphere.

Composed by Ho Trong Tuan with the name "The Vast New Road" with performances by singers Viet Danh, Thang Loi, Xuan Hao, Duong Duc, Trinh Phuong, Hong Chinh, Minh Ngoc, Luong Nguyet Anh, Thu An, To Hoa along with choir, choir and actors... concluded the whole program.
