In the year of Mau Dan (1698), Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu sent Commander Nguyen Huu Canh to inspect the southern region, took Dong Pho land to establish Gia Dinh prefecture to divide the border; took Dong Nai as Phuoc Long district, established Tran Bien citadel; took Saigon as Tan Binh district, established Phien Tran citadel.

From then on, Saigon-Gia Dinh officially appeared on the map of Dai Viet, blending into the hearts of the nation as an inseparable part of flesh and blood.

Following the flow of history, generations of loyal Southern people have turned this land into an indomitable fortress, keeping their faith despite being plowed by bombs and bullets.

Under the flag of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh , that arduous journey ended in a glorious victory in the historic spring of 1975. From now on, the country will be united, closing a tragic chapter and opening a new era for the "southern citadel of the Fatherland".

On July 2, 1976, fulfilling the expectations of the people of the South who missed Uncle Ho, Saigon-Gia Dinh city was officially and honorably named after President Ho Chi Minh. From here, a new chapter opened, Ho Chi Minh City - the city of the future, of integration, of restless aspirations.

The year 2025 marks a strategic change in the city named after Uncle Ho, when the three localities of Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau are merged. The three lands meet in the indomitable spirit of resistance, the open-mindedness in culture and the will to rise up after the war. These are the qualities that make up the mettle of the South, the mettle of not retreating in the face of difficulties, always promoting the tradition of dynamism and creativity to achieve new achievements.

*Introducing many traditional art forms developed in the land of Saigon - Gia Dinh - Ho Chi Minh City.*

The art program consists of three parts: "The Radiant South", "The Heroic Land" and "The City Named After Uncle Ho Enters a New Era", recreating the flow of history-culture-people of the South through the periods, from the early days of opening up the land to a modern, dynamic and integrated urban area.

Through that, the program aims to honor the resilient spirit of resistance, cultural exchange and strong development aspirations of this land.

The audience enjoyed songs with historical imprints such as: My Fatherland has never been so beautiful, Red soil love in the East, Oh beloved life, New era in Uncle Ho's city, In the middle of East-West avenue...
