To learn more about my hometown, I read the Binh Thuan newspaper every day. Because, surely, no information about Binh Thuan is as comprehensive as the information from the official media outlets of my home country.
1. With my smartphone, I read Binh Thuan Newspaper, both print and online. Following the articles on Binh Thuan Newspaper online, I've noticed many things: Most articles are published very early, just after 5 AM each day. Furthermore, news is updated continuously from morning to night, covering all fields. Readers from all over the country are very interested in reading news and articles about Binh Thuan every day on Binh Thuan Newspaper. And the number of readers, especially those reading articles by category, is increasing, particularly in the last year. The news and articles that readers read most quickly and frequently are the hot news of the day. These are articles closely related to the lives and economy of the people, the security situation, and other important issues in the province. Some articles are so engaging that they have tens of thousands of reads in just one week. Some even have over a hundred thousand reads. As for many of the articles, they have already received several thousand views in a short period of time.
Articles about the ancient architecture of Phan Thiet and other regions of the homeland, traditional cultural features, occupations practiced by people in Binh Thuan in the past, Cham culture, and the traditional cultures of other ethnic minorities, lifestyles, and old scenes that evoke memories of a bygone era, stirring up deeply ingrained recollections, have attracted much reader interest. Readers read, reminiscing with the author, and sharing their feelings for their homeland. Articles about entrepreneurship, showcasing successful business models; articles about tourism and local cuisine attract a large readership. Stories of academic excellence and the perseverance of students in overcoming difficulties also attract much attention from readers today.
Many readers have recorded their comments after reading several articles. Some opinions agree with the content conveyed; however, there are also many opinions pointing out shortcomings in various aspects of the operations of agencies and units, the service provided by staff, and the limited and deteriorating infrastructure that needs investment. There are also comments regarding certain details in the articles, suggesting that the author review and respond to broaden public opinion. Some comments are gentle, while others are very frank. The Editorial Board has published these opinions. This demonstrates respect for the readers. Readers express their views on specific journalistic works. Binh Thuan Newspaper acknowledges these comments and may gradually incorporate them, make adjustments, or engage in further discussion to ensure suitability. In my opinion, this will likely attract even more readers to read Binh Thuan Newspaper online every day. And as you read more and more newspapers, perhaps it will also bring more joy and motivation to the journalists of our homeland to continue their work with more enthusiasm and dedication.
On the newspaper's interface, there's a "Most Read" section, categorized into five articles at a time. The ranking of the top five articles in this section changes, sometimes even within a single day, depending on the number of views each article receives. This is a clever design feature, as it attracts more readers to these articles. Increased readership also motivates writers, both professional reporters and contributors, to be more creative.
2. Besides the positive impressions I've received from reading Binh Thuan Newspaper, I'd like to offer a few suggestions: I hope the editors will dedicate more time to working with authors to clarify some details in the content of a few articles, making them more persuasive. When reading articles by category, readers will see the number of views updated over time; however, sometimes the number of readers on subsequent visits is lower than on previous visits. In recent months, contributors whose articles have been published haven't received complimentary copies of the newspaper. I hope Binh Thuan Newspaper will address this. For authors, having a printed copy of their published article helps with archiving and systematizing their records as contributors to the newspaper; because sometimes, articles are published in print but not online in the designated category.
On the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the founding of Binh Thuan Newspaper, I would like to wish your newspaper continued growth, ever-increasing content, more attractive design, and a larger circulation, meeting the needs of a wide range of readers near and far, both within and outside the province, for information on all aspects of our province.
