To celebrate the 48th anniversary of the founding of Binh Thuan Newspaper (October 27, 1976 - October 27, 2024), the Editorial Board of Binh Thuan Newspaper is launching a feature writing contest from now until October 10, 2024, with the awards ceremony and closing on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the newspaper's founding on October 27, 2024.
The rules of the competition are as follows:
1. Content
This book reflects all practical issues affecting the lives of the people of Binh Thuan in all fields: economy , society, culture, education, national defense and security... Changes in life, in the construction and development process, exemplary cases, new factors, new trends, including challenges and obstacles on the path of development of the province. Unique, novel and interesting people and events in Binh Thuan province. Special and representative figures and events related to Binh Thuan homeland.
2. Eligibility for participation:
All professional journalists, contributors, and writers from within and outside Binh Thuan province.
3. Awards:
- First prize: 6 million VND (one prize)
- Second prize: 4 million VND/prize (two prizes)
- Third prize: 3 million VND/prize (two prizes)
- Consolation prizes: 2 million VND/prize (three prizes)
4. Judging criteria:
Based on key factors: topicality, uniqueness, novelty, strong humanistic values, and vivid portrayal; attracting widespread reader interest and having a positive social impact after publication.
5. Specific regulations:
- Submitted feature articles should not exceed 2,000 words (each) and must include at least two photos illustrating the plot and content. In cases where the event or issue has multiple details or plot points, a maximum of three installments may be required. Works selected from the preliminary round will be published in the regular and weekend editions of Binh Thuan Newspaper (and updated on the Binh Thuan online newspaper) and will receive payment according to the current pricing structure of Binh Thuan Newspaper. The competition organizers will not return unused entries.
- Contest period: From the date of this announcement until October 10, 2024. The judging, final results, and awards ceremony are expected to be held on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the founding of Binh Thuan Newspaper. The editorial office will accept entries from the day after this announcement is published.
