Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Finance Bui Van Khang emphasized: This is a practical and particularly significant step in the innovation process of the finance sector. The application not only changes traditional reporting methods but also contributes to the effective implementation of administrative reform, improves service quality, and supports the Government in managing the macroeconomy.
The "Vietnam Customs Data" application will initially be deployed to leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the Customs Department, and units under the Ministry, as well as some related agencies from the central to local levels. The system allows access to and exploitation of import and export data by day, week, and cumulatively up to the reporting date. The data is presented in various formats: tables, visual graphs, meeting the requirements for monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating the actual situation.
Furthermore, the system is designed for user access anytime, anywhere, saving time, reducing costs, and increasing proactiveness and flexibility in information usage. This is a crucial foundation for improving the management and operation of government agencies, aiming towards e -government and a modern public administration.
Deputy Minister Bui Van Khang also recommended that units continue to upgrade and connect "Vietnam Customs Data" with other digital platforms of the Ministry of Finance and related ministries and agencies. In addition, promoting the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in data processing and analysis is also considered an important direction to improve the quality and security of information systems.
