Officials of the Provincial Red Cross Society are applying digital technology in mobilizing humanitarian resources.
At the provincial Red Cross office, data on members, volunteers, and those in need of assistance are regularly updated on a digital platform. Digitizing this information facilitates faster and more accurate review and statistical analysis. To date, nearly 96,000 members have been updated to the National Population Database; over 4,400 volunteers and more than 52,500 Red Cross youth are managed on the organization's data system, effectively supporting the operation and implementation of humanitarian activities.
Ms. Cam Thi Chuyen, President of the Provincial Red Cross Society, said: In recent years, the society has promoted the application of information technology in the management and implementation of humanitarian activities. The use of digital platforms, management software, and online donation collection methods has helped to make resource mobilization more effective, ensuring transparency and building trust with donors.
Currently, 100% of Red Cross officials at the provincial and commune levels use an electronic document management system for their work. Voluntary blood donation activities, support for people affected by natural disasters and fires, and other humanitarian programs are regularly publicized on the website, fanpage, and social media platforms. In 2025 alone, the entire organization produced 134 multimedia news articles, including 97 articles posted on the provincial Red Cross fanpage.

The provincial Red Cross Society is stepping up its宣传 and fundraising efforts through social media platforms.
Thanks to the application of digital technology, fundraising efforts have yielded many positive results. From 2025 to the present, the total value of the association's activities has reached over 54.4 billion VND, assisting 99,100 people in difficult circumstances. Many online fundraising programs through fanpages, bank accounts, and QR codes have attracted the participation of numerous organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, such as the Humanitarian Month, the Tet of Compassion in the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026, and support for the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of relations between Vietnam and Cuba...
In addition, the provincial Red Cross's fanpage has become an effective bridge between philanthropists and those in need of assistance. Through information appealing for livelihood support for households affected by natural disasters in Sop Cop commune, the association connected with sponsoring organizations to donate 20 pairs of breeding goats worth 130 million VND to poor households.
Ms. Lo Thi Phung, from Lanh village, Sop Cop commune, shared: "After the natural disaster, my family faced many difficulties, and our production and livestock farming were affected. When we received the goat breed, I was very happy and moved. This is a great source of encouragement for my family to continue developing our economy and gradually stabilize our lives."

The Provincial Red Cross Society presented gifts and assistance to households affected by natural disasters in Huoi Mot commune.
Digital platforms also contribute to effectively connecting donors with humanitarian activities in the province. Through the provincial Red Cross's fanpage, the Ngoc Mai Red Cross Family in Hanoi has collaborated with the provincial Red Cross to distribute over 2,000 gifts, totaling over 600 million VND, to poor households, disadvantaged students, and vulnerable groups. Ms. Ngoc Mai said: "We regularly follow the Son La Provincial Red Cross's fanpage to stay updated on humanitarian programs. The timely and transparent information helps us to have more confidence in partnering with the Red Cross."
Sharing her vision for the future, Ms. Cam Thi Chuyen, President of the Provincial Red Cross Society, added: The Society will continue to improve the synchronized humanitarian database from the provincial to the grassroots level, promote the application of digital technology in management, operation, and resource mobilization. At the same time, it will expand online donation methods through QR codes, e-wallets, and promotion on digital platforms, contributing to improved humanitarian work efficiency and connecting more benevolent hearts to assist the community.
Every piece of information disseminated on digital platforms not only contributes to multiplying acts of kindness but also strengthens society's trust in the Provincial Red Cross Society. This forms a solid foundation for connecting and mobilizing resources, extending love and providing support to the right people at the right time, while further affirming the Red Cross Society's role as a bridge of compassion and sharing of humanitarian spirit within the community.
