German club makes incredible profits from selling players.

Eintracht Frankfurt earned a staggering 265 million euros from the sale of Ekitike, Marmoush, and Kolo Muani in just the last two years.

Hugo Ekitike was signed by Frankfurt from Stade Reims in 2022 for a fee of just 12 million euros.

With Liverpool agreeing to pay a €90 million transfer fee for Ekitike, Eintracht Frankfurt continues to demonstrate its excellent business acumen in the transfer market. They will have earned a total of €265 million from selling three forwards – Hugo Ekitike, Omar Marmoush, and Randal Kolo Muani – over the past two years.

Notably, the German club only spent a total of 16 million euros to recruit this trio, making them impressive profit-making deals and confirming the club's smart player development and transfer strategy.

Ekitike was signed by Frankfurt from Stade Reims in 2022 for a fee of just €12 million. The young French player quickly proved his talent, scoring 10 goals in the 2023/24 season and continuing to shine in the 2024/25 season. From an initial investment of €12 million, the German club reaped a profit of almost seven times that amount.

Previously, Kolo Muani was signed by Frankfurt from Nantes in 2021 on a free transfer, as his contract had expired. After two explosive seasons in the Bundesliga, scoring 23 goals and providing 17 assists in 65 games, the French striker was sold to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2023 for €95 million.

In January 2025, Omar Marmoush was sold to Manchester City for €87.7 million. The Egyptian striker joined Frankfurt from VfL Wolfsburg in 2023 for just €4 million. These deals further demonstrate Frankfurt's ability to "buy low, sell high," yielding profits more than 20 times their initial investment.

According to Opta , over the past two years, Frankfurt, not Benfica, Porto, or the Brazilian clubs, have been the biggest profit-makers in the transfer market.
