Since the start of the 2023-2024 V-League season, Khanh Hoa FC has been experiencing considerable instability. After the financial issues were temporarily resolved satisfactorily, the team from the coastal city, despite showing more fighting spirit, has still not achieved the expected results.
A recent string of poor results has led to significant changes on the coaching bench of the team based at the August 19th Stadium within just a few days. After coach Vo Dinh Tan resigned, his "deputy" Tran Thien Hao took over, but only led Khanh Hoa FC for a single match in Round 6 of the V-League, against Hai Phong FC. Against the Hai Phong team, the Khanh Hoa players played with great enthusiasm, even taking the lead, but ultimately could not pull off an upset against the experienced and skillful team led by coach Chu Dinh Nghiem.

Following their 1-3 defeat against Hai Phong FC, Khanh Hoa FC continued its radical overhaul of the coaching staff. Assistant coach Tran Trong Binh was appointed to the head coach position. Supporting "head coach" Tran Trong Binh (born in 1983) are coaches Nguyen Tan Dien (1984) and Le Tan Tai (1984). Le Tan Tai is a notable name, as he was a member of the Vietnamese national team that won the 2008 AFF Cup under coach Calisto.
Khánh Hòa FC fans are once again hoping for a "change of fortune," as their beloved team has changed coaches for the second time in six rounds of the V-League 2023-2024. Two consecutive home games at the August 19th Stadium are seen as a good opportunity for the team from the coastal city to achieve favorable results and improve their position in the standings. Currently, Khánh Hòa FC has only 3 points and is ranked 12th.

However, the challenge ahead is immense, as Khanh Hoa FC will face a series of strong opponents. In Round 7, the team under new coach Tran Trong Binh will host the reigning champions Hanoi Police (at 6 PM today, December 22nd). The task of earning points will become even more difficult for Khanh Hoa FC, as coach Gong Oh-kyun is determined to secure his first victory with his new team.
