It wasn't until the 54th minute that the deadlock was broken when Phan Minh Ky (number 74, Vinh Long) capitalized on an opportunity to score the opening goal, making it 1-0. In the 69th minute, the Vinh Long fans were treated to another goal as the striker wearing number 74 scored again, increasing the lead to 2-0 and completing his brace.

In the remaining minutes, the home team played cautiously and deliberately slowed down the pace, while Dak Lak tried to find a consolation goal but failed. The final result saw Vinh Long Club secure a convincing 2-0 victory, thus earning 8 points after 11 rounds and narrowing the points gap with Dak Lak to just 2 points.
