On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024), a special campaign called National Day (#NgayQuocKhanh) was launched in collaboration between TikTok, the Vietnam Youth Union, the Department of Foreign Information ( Ministry of Information and Communications ) and Schannel Network. This campaign focuses on deploying trending videos with the theme of spreading love for the Fatherland and national spirit, especially through the symbolic image of the Vietnamese flag. |
The national flag was chosen as the central symbol of the campaign, creating a strong media wave on social media platforms, with images of "red covering" everywhere. |
On September 2, the image of the national flag appeared on large LED screens in many major cities such as Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and many other localities from 5-6am. |
On this day, more than 50 of Hanoi's largest LED screens at major intersections and large buildings will simultaneously change to the colors of the national flag. These images will be shown from 5am to 6am and repeated throughout the day. |
Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy (Representative of S Channel Network - the media unit in the campaign) shared: “The national flag is always a close, familiar image but also carries the strong Vietnamese spirit. On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of National Day September 2, Schannel wishes to bring the campaign "Towards the national flag" as a way to spread love for the country from the simplest and most proud things. Today, we hold in our hands the flag that is printed and sewn easily. But for the red flag with yellow star to fly in the sky of Independence - Freedom of the nation, it has been exchanged for many sacrifices of the previous generation. Respecting the national flag is also the way the young generation like us wants to show gratitude to the previous generations who sacrificed so that today the national flag can freely fly brightly and proudly". |
“Currently, after more than 1 week of launching the campaign, there have been more than 30,000 posts spreading through the keyword #ngayQuockhanh. More than 300 million views and interactions on all platforms. But these numbers only show part of the response of young people in particular and social media users in general to the campaign. To fully experience the Vietnamese spirit, let's go out on September 2. Surely, wherever we are, we will feel the proud Vietnamese spirit" - Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy added. |
The campaign's goal is to affirm that patriotism still burns in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. |

“Perhaps not only myself but also anyone who is Vietnamese, these days feel moved and proud to see the national flag on every street and cover social networks with the bright and familiar colors of the flag. Hopefully, not only on National Day, but also the love for the country will always be nurtured and expressed in our lives” – Representative of the Organizing Committee shared. |
The campaign is expected to create a strong wave, covering social networks with the image of the national flag, spreading the message: "Wherever you are, on September 2, let's all look towards the national flag with the pride of a Vietnamese person". |
