Thanh Lan has organized the Sea Opening Festival and introduced attractions such as Van La Bridge and Village 2 Temple, while Co To town has developed a plan and organized a kayak race. These events will be new highlights attracting tourists to return to Co To every year.
To diversify the experience, Co To develops nighttime entertainment activities such as night markets, entertainment areas, sports events and cultural performances, extending the length of stay and increasing revenue. The night market and commercial activities at the Commercial Service Center will create a space connecting visitors with Co To's typical products, from handicrafts to island specialties.
Co To pays special attention to developing green tourism. The "Net Zero tour" program is a prominent initiative, reducing carbon emissions from transportation, accommodation to dining, protecting the environment and bringing new experiences to visitors. At the same time, the district also develops sports and cultural events to attract tourists. A new feature in the 2025 tourist season is the strong investment in tourism infrastructure. Co To has renovated waiting rooms, ports, upgraded public lighting systems and internal traffic on the island. Accommodation facilities, restaurants and hotels have also been upgraded to meet the needs of tourists. To improve service quality, Co To ensures close supervision, public price posting, and strict handling of commercial fraud and price gouging. The district has also launched a hotline to receive feedback and protect tourists' rights.
According to statistics, in the first 3 months of 2025, Co To welcomed more than 10,000 visitors, an encouraging number when the official tourist season has not yet begun.
