I participated in the aptitude test for the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and scored enough points to pass.
However, my parents believe that the field of study isn't suitable for girls because it's considered dry and demanding. The whole family strongly opposes it, and my parents even said that if I remain "stubborn," they will cut off financial support and I'll have to manage my tuition fees myself.
My family wants me to study education, but that's not my wish.
Ever since high school, I've been fascinated by information technology. I enjoy the feeling of creating useful websites or software. I'm quite confident in my math skills and logical thinking abilities, but because I lack in-depth knowledge of the field, I haven't yet been able to convince my family to agree to my chosen major.
I would really appreciate any advice from everyone on how to protect my dreams, as the deadline for registering for university admissions is fast approaching.
