Nguyen Hung is one of the young actors participating in the movie “Red Rain” directed by Lieutenant Colonel, Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen, produced by Army Cinema. The movie is about the revolutionary war with a script by writer Chu Lai, inspired and fictionalized from the event of 81 days and nights of our army and people fighting bravely to defend the Quang Tri Citadel in 1972.

In the film, Nguyen Hung plays Hai, a young man who puts his future dreams aside to take up arms to defend the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, becoming a young soldier fighting in Squad 1 in Quang Tri Citadel.

Before taking on the role of Hai in the project “Red Rain”, Nguyen Hung was known as a singer in the band MAYDAYs, the owner of the song “Miracle” and a prominent face in the short film “Wooden Fish”, the work that won the Best Short Film award at the 2024 Kite Awards.

The song “Phap Mieu” is also a special case as it is the movie song of “Dan Ca Go”, but it became famous before the movie was widely released, performed by many famous singers such as Xuong Ca group (Bui Cong Nam, Thanh Duy, Thien Minh, Duy Khanh), ST Son Thach… The popularity of “Phap Mieu” had an effect when the movie was released.

Director Dang Thai Huyen said that the song was written by Nguyen Hung from the first days of rehearsing the script with his co-stars. The song was inspired by the movie and by the feelings of a young person born many years after the war, but brought back the full emotions of the image of young soldiers who had just left their mother's arms and school to go to the battlefield. The song has a sobbing feeling, but also a serenity and peace.

At the end of July, right after its release, the song “What is more beautiful” by Nguyen Hung entered the Top 10 of Zing MP3’s New Music Chart. The lyric video on Youtube was just released 9 days ago but has already reached 1.4 million views.

Scheduled to be released on August 22, but “Red Rain” has its own way to reach the audience, which is the emotional way through the song “What is more beautiful”. With the current level of audience access, “What is more beautiful” is bringing the audience, especially young audiences, to know more about the film.
