Speaking to encourage the children, Colonel Dinh Xuan Hung shared: Children from both sides of the border gathering together in the Mid-Autumn Festival not only brings joy to them, but also continues to foster the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, making it increasingly stronger and more connected.

Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard and Savannakhet Provincial Border Protection Forces, together with local Party Committees, authorities, benefactors, teachers and the whole society, continue to care for, support and help the children to have more conditions to study, practice, play and grow up.

Leaders of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command and accompanying units presented gifts to students and border protection forces.

At the program, the Organizing Committee awarded more than 1,300 gifts worth more than 400 million VND to students, teenagers, children in border areas, schools and border protection forces of Savannakhet province.

In particular, the Provincial People's Committee donated 1 television to Huong Viet Primary and Secondary School; and 20 scholarships to poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well. The Border Guard Command of Quang Tri Province donated 18 bicycles to students.

Children enjoy lion dance and Mid-Autumn Festival.

On this occasion, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command of Quang Tri province directed units on the two border lines to coordinate with local Party committees, authorities and accompanying units to organize 33 "Border - Mid-Autumn Festival" programs; presenting 13,500 gifts to teenagers and children with a total value of more than 2.7 billion VND.

On the same afternoon, Huong Lap Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard) organized a "Border Lesson" at landmark 591 for more than 400 students on both sides of the border.
