In Binh Khe ward, the Provincial Red Cross and the Provincial Youth Union presented 80 million VND to support the construction of a humanitarian house for the family of Tu Van Tu (40 years old, Linh Trang area). The family has 5 members, of which Tu is in poor health, has limited working ability, and all income depends on his wife who is a worker. The whole family lives in a seriously degraded house, posing a potential risk of insecurity, especially during the rainy and stormy season.
Faced with the above situation, the Fatherland Front of Binh Khe Ward has connected and mobilized support from the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Provincial Youth Union. The Provincial Red Cross Society mobilized 50 million VND, the Provincial Youth Union 30 million VND, contributing to helping Mr. Tu's family soon build a new house and stabilize their lives.
On the same day, the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" was organized by the Provincial Red Cross at Tan Dan Primary and Secondary School (Quang La Commune), bringing a bustling and warm atmosphere to students in remote areas. Here, the children participated in games, carried star lanterns, and received Mid-Autumn Festival gifts. On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross cooperated with the Quang Ninh Friendship Club to present 10 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to students in difficult circumstances in the area.
A special highlight in the series of activities is the “Mid-Autumn Festival for Children” program held the same evening at Luc Hon Primary School, Ban Pat village (Luc Hon commune), with the coordination between the Provincial Red Cross and philanthropists. The program cost up to 90 million VND, bringing a night full of joy to hundreds of children in difficult mountainous areas.
In general, during the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated to organize and give gifts to children in special and difficult circumstances with a total cost of 150 million VND.
The journey “Lanterns lighting up dreams” not only brings Mid-Autumn Festival closer to children in remote areas but also lights up hope and nurtures childhood dreams. This is a practical and meaningful activity, demonstrating the concern of organizations and philanthropists for the future generations of Quang Ninh province.
