Taking care of Mid-Autumn Festival for children and teenagers

The Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a festival for children but also an opportunity for the whole society to express love and care for the young generation. Over the years, the Youth Union at all levels has made continuous efforts to organize meaningful programs, bringing joy, laughter and contributing to the education and orientation of teenagers and children.

In the bustling atmosphere of the days approaching the Mid-Autumn Festival, recently, children in My Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province were excited about the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 program with the theme Full Moon Festival - Lanterns light up dreams. This is the first time My Thanh commune organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for children after merging from 3 communes Binh An, My Thanh, My Lac and part of Tan Thanh commune.

According to Secretary of the My Thanh Commune Youth Union Tran Gia Linh, this year, more than 1,100 children will participate in activities, have fun and receive Mid-Autumn Festival gifts. Of these, nearly 150 children with difficult or especially difficult circumstances will be supported with meaningful gifts.

Children of My Thanh commune play games and interact with Uncle Cuoi.

With an organization budget of about 120 million VND, mainly from socialized sources, this year's program not only has performances, lion dances, folk games, lantern processions, feasts,... but also incorporates the message "Happy, healthy children - good behavior - good study", encouraging children to nurture their dreams, strive to study, practice morality and know how to share and love. The commune union also focuses on propaganda work through social networks, calling on parents, union members and young people to participate.

Not only stopping at the festival, the Commune Youth Union also coordinated with units to organize visits and give gifts to orphans, disabled children, and children in especially difficult circumstances. "We hope that Mid-Autumn Festival will not only stop at the joy of childhood but also be an opportunity to encourage children to nurture their dreams, be good, study well and know how to share love. Besides the art program and games, the Youth Union and Association also coordinated to organize visits and give gifts to orphans and disabled children, so that love and care can truly reach each child" - Ms. Tran Gia Linh shared.

The Mid-Autumn Festival cannot lack lion dances.

That joy is clearly shown through the eyes of children. Nguyen Dang Tan Phat (resident of Hamlet 3) excitedly said: "I really like watching lion dances and carrying lanterns with my friends. This year, I also received Mid-Autumn gifts so I am very happy." Nguyen Ngoc Truc Quyen (resident of Hamlet 4) shared: "I am very happy to participate in many games, break the cake and receive lanterns! I hope to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival like this every year."

Chairman of the People's Committee of My Thanh Commune, Le Hoang Viet, said: "The work of caring for teenagers and children has always received special attention from the Party Committee and the People's Committee, considering it the responsibility of the entire political system and society. This year, with the theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival - Lanterns light up dreams, the children not only had fun in the exciting atmosphere with many cultural activities and folk games, but also received warm Mid-Autumn gifts. Through that, we send our love, care and concern to the future generation, contributing to building a safe and healthy environment for them to develop comprehensively both physically and mentally. From there, the children will have more confidence and determination to rise up, study well, become useful citizens, and contribute to the development of My Thanh homeland"./.
