Chairman of the City People's Committee as Head of the Organizing Committee of the Can Tho River Culture Festival

According to this decision, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, is the Head of the Organizing Committee. The Deputy Heads include: Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (as Standing Member of the Organizing Committee) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien, Chairman of Olabay Vietnam Joint Stock Company. The 24 members of the Organizing Committee are leaders of relevant departments, branches, units and localities.

The Organizing Committee is responsible for advising the City People's Committee to deploy the plan and direct the organization of the Can Tho River Culture Festival in 2025 according to the issued plan. Urging relevant agencies, units and localities to coordinate and well organize the activities within the framework of the Festival, meeting the set goals and requirements. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the Standing Agency of the Organizing Committee, responsible for presiding over and coordinating with the members of the Organizing Committee to advise the Head of the Organizing Committee to assign tasks to the members of the Organizing Committee.

According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the Can Tho River Culture Festival 2025 will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 26, at the Ninh Kieu Wharf area, broadcast live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television and the channels of Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television. Within the framework of the Festival, there will be many attractive and diverse activities imbued with river culture.
