Establishment of the Steering Committee for Family Work in Can Tho City

(CT) - Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, has just issued Decision No. 1883/QD-UBND, dated October 15, 2025 on the establishment of the Steering Committee for Family Work in Can Tho City.

According to the decision, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee, is the Head of the Steering Committee; with 2 Deputy Heads: Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Standing Committee) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue Chi, Vice Chairwoman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; along with 17 members. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the standing body of the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee has the function of assisting the People's Committee of Can Tho City in researching, directing, and coordinating the resolution of matters related to the management, operation, and organization of family work in the city. The task of the Steering Committee is to advise the People's Committee of the City in developing programs and plans to direct the coordination of relevant agencies in family work. Assist the People's Committee of the City in organizing the implementation of programs, plans, and instructions of the People's Committee of the City on family work. At the same time, carry out inspection, supervision, monitoring, evaluation, and urging of family work activities throughout the city; recommend competent agencies and organizations to take timely measures to handle violations of the law on family work.
