Hau Giang Vice Chairman Truong Canh Tuyen becomes Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen (56 years old), Permanent Vice Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee was transferred and appointed as Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee.

On February 10, at Can Tho City Party Committee, a conference on personnel work was held to implement the decision of the Secretariat.

Accordingly, at the Conference, the representative of the Central Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Party Central Committee on Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province, ceasing to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

At the same time, Mr. Tuyen was mobilized and appointed to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung assessed that Mr. Tuyen is a cadre with courage, capacity, innovative thinking, and a working method closely related to the grassroots level, so no matter what position he holds, he always strives to train, overcome difficulties, complete assigned tasks well, and actively contribute to the development of the locality and work unit.

Mr. Hung suggested that in the coming time, Mr. Tuyen should continue to promote his experience, capacity, and courage, quickly integrate and grasp the situation of Can Tho City. In his new position, he should inherit and promote the traditions and experiences of previous generations of leaders, and listen to the opinions of the people.

Mr. Hung also requested the leaders of Can Tho City to organize a meeting of the City People's Council to elect Mr. Tuyen as Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee, ensuring principles, procedures, regulations and achieving the best results.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen emphasized that to be worthy of the trust of leaders at all levels, he will always respect, preserve and promote the achievements and valuable experiences of previous leaders, make every effort, humbly learn, closely follow the grassroots, have a receptive spirit, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility in performing duties and powers.

"I will always proactively grasp and closely follow the local and grassroots situation, respect the people, be close to the people, listen to the people's thoughts and aspirations, encourage and protect dynamic and creative cadres for the common good. I will, together with the City Party Executive Committee, devote myself wholeheartedly to the development of the city," Mr. Tuyen affirmed.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Can Tho City Party Committee, was mobilized and appointed by the Politburo as Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh ceased to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, the Politburo mobilized, assigned and appointed Mr. Do Thanh Binh to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Then, on January 20, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Viet Truong was consulted and elected as Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen was born in 1969, from Thanh Hoa, has a high level of political education, and a Master's degree in economics.

He has held the positions of Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district, Hau Giang province.

On April 8, 2015, at the extraordinary session of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, Mr. Tuyen was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province for the 2011-2016 term with 96% of the votes in favor.

On June 22, 2021, at the first session of the People's Council of Hau Giang province, term X, term 2021-2026, Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, was re-elected Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

Can Tho is one of 6 centrally-run cities and the central urban area of ​​the Mekong Delta with a population of over 1.2 million. In 2024, the state budget revenue in Can Tho will reach over 12,000 billion VND, an increase of more than 11% over the same period.
