Hanoi completes clearing broken and fallen trees in districts before September 20

To urgently complete the cleanup and environmental sanitation of urban trees broken and fallen by storm No. 3 (firstly in the inner-city districts), the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the District People's Committees to direct the People's Committees of wards, functional forces, mobilize means of transport, human resources of agencies, units, enterprises, people of all walks of life, Youth Union, students of universities in the area to participate in cleaning and transporting all broken and fallen tree branches and fallen leaves to the city's collection and treatment point (transporting and treating garbage and gathering firewood and wood separately).

In case the treatment point does not meet the requirements, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the district will proactively decide to temporarily arrange a transit gathering point in the district to clean up the streets in the area and transport them to the treatment location later; Ba Dinh district will clean up at the gathering point, complete environmental sanitation on September 14; Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, and Tay Ho districts will complete the cleaning, transportation to the gathering point, treatment point, and environmental sanitation on September 15.

The Chairmen of the People's Committees of the districts shall proactively coordinate with the Department of Transport and the City Police to issue operating licenses for vehicles tasked with collecting and transporting fallen trees to transit and assembly points in the districts. The Departments of Transport, Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, and the City Police shall be responsible for coordinating with the People's Committees of the districts to implement the direction of the City People's Committee.

The Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan to direct the People's Committees of districts, departments and branches of the city to coordinate, implement and ensure the completion of the collection of broken and fallen trees in the districts before September 20.
