Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee, was elected by the Party Central Committee as Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee, replacing Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

On the morning of November 5, the 14th Central Conference of the 13th tenure opened in Hanoi. In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked in the hall. General Secretary To Lam delivered the opening speech. President Luong Cuong, on behalf of the Politburo , chaired the conference.

The 14th Central Conference elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh as Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Commission .

The Central Committee carries out the process of introducing personnel to join the Politburo and Secretariat of the 14th term (both re-election and first-time participation).

In the afternoon, the Party Central Committee continued to carry out the contents of personnel work. Accordingly, the Party Central Committee agreed to let Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee, stop participating in the Central Inspection Committee, stop holding the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee (to focus on the new tasks assigned by the Politburo).

The Central Committee carries out the process of introducing personnel for a number of positions: Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court for the 2021-2026 term so that the Politburo can decide to introduce the Party Central Committee to elect the Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee and the 15th National Assembly (at the 10th session) to elect according to regulations.

At the conference, the Party Central Committee also elected Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to join the Central Inspection Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the 13th Central Inspection Committee.

At the same time, the Party Central Committee introduced the personnel of the Presidium, Secretariat, and Qualification Examination Board of the 14th Party Congress.

After that, the Central Committee and the delegates attending the conference worked in groups, discussing the following contents: the draft Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the 13th Party Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th Congress; the draft Report summarizing the implementation of the Working Regulations of the 13th Party Central Committee, Politburo and Secretariat; the draft Report summarizing the implementation of the Working Regulations of the 12th Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission; the Report summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18 dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
