Dien Bien province organizes the Con Throwing Festival of 3 countries Vietnam - Laos - China

Dien Bien province has just issued a plan to organize the 9th Vietnam - Laos - China Con Throwing Festival in 2025.

The festival will be held for 3 days from December 19 to December 21, 2030, in Dien Bien Phu ward, Dien Bien province. This is a regular activity every 2 years, hosted by the border provinces of Vietnam, Laos, and China.

The Vietnam - Laos - China Con Throwing Festival is a political and cultural event of great significance to enhance exchanges, cooperation and foreign relations between border districts. At the same time, it is an opportunity to introduce the unique traditional cultural beauty of ethnic groups, promote tourism potential, and increase opportunities for understanding and cooperation between local authorities and people. Thereby, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and further strengthening solidarity and friendship between Party committees, authorities and people in border areas.

This year's festival has the participation of Lai Chau province, Nhot U district, Phong-Sa-Ly district (Phong-Sa-Ly province, Lao PDR); Giang Thanh district, Pho Nhi city (Yunnan province, China). The festival has the theme "Solidarity, friendship - Warm border love - Development together" with main activities including: Opening and closing ceremonies, exhibition space to introduce and promote cultural and tourism products, photo exhibition; organizing competitions in sports such as throwing con, pushing sticks, crossbow shooting, top fighting, tug of war, Pickleball...; organizing Famtrip program to survey tourism products and meet with travel service businesses.

With rich and colorful cultural activities, the 9th Vietnam - Laos - China Con Throwing Festival promises to bring a unique and impressive experience to the people, friends and tourists.
