Domestic pepper prices recover significantly in the Central Highlands
Early this morning, domestic pepper prices have slightly recovered, increasing by 500 - 1,000 VND/kg in the Central Highlands compared to yesterday morning. This recovery took place after 3 consecutive days of pepper price decline.
In Dak Lak province and Dak Nong area, pepper price today is purchased at 150,000 VND/kg, an increase of 1,000 VND/kg. This is the highest level in the country.
In Gia Lai province, pepper price is at 147,500 VND/kg, up 500 VND/kg.
Other regions remained stable: Dong Nai listed pepper price at 148,500 VND/kg. Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc were both at 148,000 VND/kg.

World pepper market slightly decreased in some varieties
At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) slightly reduced the price of Indonesian pepper.
Black pepper: Lampung black pepper price (Indonesia) closed at 6,998 USD/ton, down 0.09%. Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price was at 6,150 USD/ton. Kuching black pepper price (Malaysia) ASTA was at 9,000 USD/ton.
White Pepper: Muntok white pepper price is 9,648 USD/ton, down 0.09%. Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is at 12,000 USD/ton.
Vietnam's international pepper prices are at 6,500 USD/ton (500 g/l) and 6,700 USD/ton (550 g/l). Vietnam's white pepper prices are 9,250 USD/ton.
Pepper exports set a new record
In the first 11 months of 2025, Vietnam's pepper export volume is estimated at 222 thousand tons, with an estimated value of about 1.5 billion USD. This value has set a new record, surpassing the old record of 1.43 billion USD for the whole year of 2016.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of pepper exports decreased by 5.5% but the value increased sharply by 23.3%. This impressive achievement was mainly due to the pepper export price in the 11 months increasing by 30.5%, reaching an average of 6,755 USD/ton.
In November 2025, exports are estimated at 17 thousand tons, worth 110 million USD. The export volume in November decreased compared to the previous month, but increased by 7.6% in volume and 3.1% in value compared to the same period last year.
It should be noted that in November alone, the export price of this item only reached 6,443 USD/ton, down 3.9% compared to the previous month and down 4.1% compared to November 2024.
