Hoi An Tay Ward Elderly Association takes good care of its members

DNO - On December 5, the Association of the Elderly of Hoi An Tay Ward held its first Congress of Delegates for the 2026 - 2031 term. Chairman of the Association of the Elderly of Da Nang Pham Quy attended.

The report at the congress said that after the merger, the Elderly Association of Hoi An Tay ward has 19 branches with 3,589 members.

During the 2021 - 2026 term, the branches maintained their activities and focused on taking care of their members. The whole ward had 363 sick members who had difficulty traveling and were visited and given gifts; the funeral arrangements for deceased members were carried out thoughtfully and with full affection.

Membership development work has been promoted, with 204 new members admitted in 2025 alone. Health promotion and care activities have been focused on with many dental examination, eye screening, and free medicine distribution programs. Cultural and sports movements have been widely developed with 4 health clubs and 3 volleyball clubs maintaining regular practice and exchange.

The ward's elderly continue to promote their role in the community with many members participating in the Party Committee, the Front, and mass organizations; actively responding to the movement "Elderly people are shining examples", preserving the cultural lifestyle and local heritage.

In the 2026 - 2031 term, the Ward Elderly Association aims to build an increasingly strong association, operating synchronously from the ward to 19 branches; striving for 100% of eligible elderly people to be admitted.

The movement “Elderly people with bright examples” is promoted in conjunction with building “Cultural families” and “Model cultural elderly families”, contributing to preserving a civilized lifestyle. The association focuses on improving the quality of health care, organizing longevity celebrations, and performing thoughtful funerals for members.

The consultative congress elected the Executive Committee of the Elderly Association of Hoi An Tay Ward, term I, 2026 - 2031, consisting of 21 members, and the Standing Committee of 6 members. Mr. Ngo Van Tuan was elected as Chairman of the Association.
