According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), the world pepper market in the last week of November 2025 recorded mixed developments, in which Vietnam stood out with price increases in both domestic and export markets after two weeks of stability.
On the contrary, Indian pepper prices declined in both domestic and international markets due to the weakening of the rupee against the USD. Indonesia maintained stable prices thanks to balanced supply and demand, while Malaysia saw its domestic pepper prices inching up due to the appreciation of the Ringgit, although export prices declined slightly towards the end of the month. In Sri Lanka, the domestic pepper market remained stable throughout the week due to stable demand and uninterrupted supply.
