Agriculture and Environment Newspaper: A rendezvous at the intersection of the past and the future

Over the past 80 years, Agriculture and Environment Newspaper has always affirmed its mission of serving agriculture, the environment and accompanying the community on the journey of cultivating Vietnamese values.

Speaking at the 80th Anniversary of the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper on the evening of December 4, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach recalled the milestone of December 4, 1945, the day the Tac Dat Newspaper was born, just 3 months after the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and was named by President Ho Chi Minh himself. At that time, Uncle Ho advised: "The Tac Dat Newspaper will instruct farmers on how to make agriculture progress quickly. The guidance of the Tac Dat Newspaper is as precious as Tac Vang".

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach shared that 80 years have passed but the teachings of the great leader are still deeply imprinted in the hearts of those working at the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper. It is an honor and a great mission that many generations have continued, bringing the Tac Dat Newspaper of the past to become the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper of today.

Throughout that journey, the newspaper has always received the attention and direction of the leaders of the Party, the State, the National Assembly, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and agencies, units, businesses, readers and writers everywhere. It is this companionship that helps the newspaper contribute to the enhancement of the image of the agricultural sector, the environment and more broadly, the Vietnamese national identity.

After 8 decades with many name changes to suit each period, the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper has now become a specialized press agency, specializing in a specific industry, and at the same time an important forum for speaking about agriculture, rural areas, resources and environment.

According to Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach, the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper is a special moment, a meeting place between the past and the future, so that those who love the newspaper can be re-energized, nurture their dreams and aspirations, and together create a newspaper that brings solutions for prosperous agriculture and a peaceful environment.

“Looking back and moving forward after 80 years, we have a strong belief in launching Vietnamese values ​​that are refined and understood. We see the light ahead, shining from the value of Vietnamese fields, the value of Vietnamese land, the value of Vietnamese mountains and forests, the value of Vietnamese nature, the value of Vietnamese culture, the value of Vietnamese people,” Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach shared.

80 years is not too long in history but it is enough for those working at Agriculture and Environment Newspaper to understand a simple truth: The value of each individual or the value of each brand is achieved thanks to the interaction and love of the community.
