The Deputy Minister reiterated President Ho Chi Minh 's advice on the "golden inch" value of the guidance that Tac Dat Newspaper brings to farmers, considering it the flame that illuminates the newspaper's principles and purposes over the past eight decades, creating a foundation for generations of journalists to maintain their pen, stance and honesty.
From the newspaper's establishment in the early days of independence to the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper today, the Deputy Minister assessed that the newspaper has always maintained its responsibility and aspiration to contribute, becoming an accurate and timely information channel on the Party and State's guidelines and policies in the fields of agriculture and environment; a bridge between people, businesses, localities and management agencies; contributing to removing difficulties and spreading effective production models.
“On behalf of the Ministry's leadership, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the generations of leaders, reporters, editors, technicians and collaborators who have created the “Tac Dat brand”, and at the same time, I request today's team to continue to inherit the tradition, promote intelligence, political courage and professional ethics to maintain the position of a newspaper that always stands on the side of truth, for the benefit of the people and the sustainable development of the country”, the Deputy Minister said at the Celebration Ceremony.
The Deputy Minister reiterated the speech of General Secretary To Lam at the 80th Anniversary of the Agriculture and Environment Sector, emphasizing the special strategic position of the sector - a place closely linked to the land, rivers, forests, mountains, villages, urban areas, seas and islands and the lives of more than one hundred million Vietnamese people.
This is the industry that manages vital resources such as land, water, air, forests, minerals, biodiversity and ecological environment. Every inch of land, forest, river or sea is not only a living space, but also an element of national sovereignty; therefore, developing agriculture and protecting environmental resources is an economic task as well as a political, cultural, social and security-defense task.
Thoroughly implementing the General Secretary's directive, the Deputy Minister expressed his belief that the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper will continue to be the vanguard force on the Ministry's information front, spreading knowledge, technology, human values, and smart agricultural models; accompanying the strategy of developing ecological agriculture - modern countryside - civilized farmers; propagating policies on management, exploitation, and effective use of natural resources, protecting the ecological environment, and preserving every river, forest, inch of land, and sacred sea of the Fatherland.

Affirming that 80 years is a proud journey and a foundation for the newspaper to continue to grow, the Deputy Minister believes that the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper will continue to grow, worthy of being the pioneer on the ideological and cultural front of the industry. Photo: Tung Dinh.

Second , promote digital transformation in journalism activities; apply artificial intelligence, data journalism, and multi-platform communication to reach a wider audience, especially the younger generation and the business community.
Third , strengthen the network of reporters in key agricultural areas and areas heavily affected by climate change; honestly reflect life, contributing to orienting public opinion objectively and humanely.
Fourth , focus on building a team of journalists who are politically steadfast, morally pure, professionally skilled, and practical; always putting the interests of farmers, the environment, and the nation above all else.
Affirming that 80 years is a proud journey and a foundation for the newspaper to continue to grow, the Deputy Minister believes that the Agriculture and Environment Newspaper will continue to grow, worthy of being the pioneer on the ideological and cultural front of the industry, making practical contributions to the goal of developing modern agriculture, sustainable environment and national prosperity.
