On the morning of December 4, domestic pepper prices continued to be adjusted down by VND 1,000/kg in some localities, bringing the common transaction price to around VND 147,000 - 149,000/kg. This development is in contrast to the world market when pepper prices in Brazil recorded a significant increase.

Domestic pepper price developments
According to the update at 4:30 a.m., pepper purchasing prices in key growing areas have changed. Specifically, in Gia Lai province, pepper prices decreased by VND1,000/kg, down to VND147,000/kg .
Similarly, the two provinces of Dak Lak and Lam Dong also recorded a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the transaction price to 149,000 VND/kg . This is currently the highest price in the country.
Meanwhile, pepper prices in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City remained unchanged compared to yesterday, remaining stable at 148,000 VND/kg .

Pepper prices on the world market
According to data from the International Pepper Association (IPC) on the morning of December 4, Brazil's pepper export price increased sharply by 150 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 1.2%, to 6,250 USD/ton .
In other major markets, prices remained stable compared to the previous trading session:
- Indonesia: Lampung black pepper price is at 7,004 USD/ton; Muntok white pepper price is at 9,657 USD/ton.
- Vietnam: The price of 500g/l black pepper is 6,500 USD/ton and 550g/l is 6,700 USD/ton. The price of white pepper remains at 9,250 USD/ton.
- Malaysia: ASTA black pepper and ASTA white pepper prices remained stable at USD 9,200/ton and USD 12,300/ton, respectively.
