According to the Commune People's Committee, prolonged heavy rains have caused the water level of the Luy River to exceed the third alarm level and continue to rise rapidly, causing deep flooding in many residential areas and traffic routes. The complicated weather situation poses a potential safety risk to students when traveling to school.

Therefore, to ensure the safety of students, the People's Committee of Luong Son commune announces that kindergartens (including private nursery groups), primary schools, middle schools and high schools in the commune will allow students to stay home from school from the morning of December 4, 2025 until further notice.

During the school break, school principals are requested to proactively notify parents and students. Monitor weather developments and coordinate with local authorities to update information promptly. Do not organize mass activities to ensure absolute safety for students and teachers.
Local authorities also recommend that parents monitor their children and keep them away from flooded areas, rivers, streams, and overflow bridges to avoid danger.
Also according to information from the People's Committee of Luong Son commune, as of 4:00 a.m. on December 4, flood water in Luong Son commune had reached its peak on October 27-28.

The water is still coming in combined with heavy rain and forecast to continue to rise.
Currently, flood water has overflowed National Highway 1A, Ong Vat bridge section (border area of Luong Son - Song Luy) more than 1 meter high, police are regulating traffic.
Currently, the locality is evacuating people and property in deeply flooded areas; no human damage has been recorded.
