General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company Ngo Van Dong spoke at the launching ceremony of the program "Green Journey - Healthy Soil - Healthy Plants"
In his opening speech, General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company Ngo Van Dong emphasized: The Mekong Delta (MD) is a key rice granary, but is currently facing many serious problems such as declining soil health - especially acidification and organic degradation - due to intensive farming, lack of organic fertilizers and negative impacts of climate change and saltwater intrusion.
In that context, he affirmed: "Starting from An Giang, we wish to spread a passionate program of Binh Dien to "Green rice production" for an ecological and sustainable production."
Strategic commitment to accompany the 1 million hectare rice project
The program "Green Journey - Healthy Soil - Healthy Plants" is not just a single activity but a strategic, long-term commitment of Binh Dien in regenerating soil health and improving crop quality in the spirit of "Healthy Soil - Healthy Plants".

General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company Ngo Van Dong presented 12 farmers with Dau Trau Bio-Calcium fertilizer packages and technical solutions for the program "Green Journey - Healthy Soil - Healthy Plants"
The program is designed to effectively implement major policies of the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD): First, to accompany the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice, associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta. Second, to proactively participate in implementing the Project "Production of reduced emissions in the crop sector for the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2050" recently approved by the MARD .
Accordingly, Binh Dien will focus on applying smart farming processes, reducing emissions, aiming to optimize fertilizer use efficiency, reduce input costs and improve agricultural product quality.
Practical demonstration model and practical benefits for farmers
To ensure practical effectiveness, the "Green Journey - Healthy Soil - Healthy Plants" Program will focus on direct field practice with the participation of farmers.
"We will select farmers to accompany us to implement the actual demonstration model. The effectiveness of these models will be a vivid example to introduce, share and replicate to many other farmers, to make rice cultivation more and more effective and sustainable" - General Director of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company shared.
