The musical Kurt's Miracle was written by MC and screenwriter Dinh Tien Dung - the famous "Professor Xoay" - with artistic advice from director Lai Bac Hai Dang, son of veteran journalist Lai Van Sam.

In addition, there is also the participation of musician Luu Ha An and general director - musician Hoang Anh Minh (associated with a series of famous VTV programs such as Gap nhau cuoi nam, Giai dieu tu huong, Bai hat Viet...).

In contrast to the familiar fairy tales about princesses and princes, the musical Kurt’s Miracle tells the story of a silent “friend” who is always shunned by everyone, which is considered “ugly and smelly”. However, it is this “friend” that is indispensable for flowers to bloom and spread their fragrance.

With 17 scenes and 17 Broadway-inspired songs, the musical not only entertains children but also conveys great messages: Each person has their own value, and it is the differences that create the miracle of life.

“As an agricultural engineer, I understand that if children only love fragrant and beautiful things, when they grow up, they will be harsh and avoid the unusual. Kurt’s miracle was born so that from a young age, children can learn to be tolerant – first of all, tolerant of themselves, and then of others ,” Dinh Tien Dung shared.

Although it is educational , the play still retains its humor and silliness – which is very “popular” with young audiences. In particular, the character Kurt is built as a lovely, emotional and brave image.

Accepting the role of artistic advisor for the musical, director Lai Bac Hai Dang said he was convinced by the crew's long-term goal: not just to make a play for the sake of it, but to bring this form to schools to teach students through vivid art.

“Children cannot fully feel it if they only watch it on screen. The live stage is where emotions and messages reach their hearts. I am very happy to contribute to editing the script and directing with the children to make the product the most perfect,” director Lai Bac Hai Dang shared.

With experience directing a series of programs for children, Lai Bac Hai Dang helps the play become closer, easier to understand and especially more vivid for children.

Not only does it have a “strange but interesting” content, Kurt’s Miracle also brings together a large cast: 2 main characters (Kurt and Daffodil), 15 supporting characters such as dung beetles, bees, flowers… and about 40 extras. 17 specially-produced songs, full of Broadway stage style, promise to bring a new experience to both children and adults.
