On September 16, schools across Ho Chi Minh City organized a fundraiser to support the people in the North who were affected by storm No. 3. Most of the time was spent on the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week for teachers and students to contribute their hearts to the people in the North.

At the end of September 16, many teachers and students of Vo Truong Toan Secondary School (District 1) were moved and surprised when a 6th grade student brought a letter and some savings to the school, asking the teachers to send them to the people. The words of sharing and sending were written on a piece of paper with each line carefully written, full of emotion, accompanied by 2 bundles of money neatly arranged by denomination.

Khanh Linh's letter and savings sent to the people of the North

The letter reads: My name is Tran Ngoc Khanh Linh, Grade 6/4, Vo Truong Toan Secondary School, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Today, I would like to share a little warmth and love from my heart to my fellow countrymen in the North. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and friends are suffering from floods that have caused great pain and devastation to people and property.

In the past few days, I have been watching the news on social media. I cannot contain my emotions, it is so heartbreaking. The scene of the sky and the ground. The separation and loss of loved ones. Houses swept away by floods, very heavy damage and everything, it is so heartbreaking. Today, I would like to send to my fellow countrymen in the North who are suffering from flood damage caused by Typhoon Yagi . I would like to donate the money I have saved in my piggy bank for a long time. The amount of 200,000 is very small. But it comes from my heart, with all my love towards the North.

I hope the North will soon restore life after Typhoon Yagi. I am very grateful and touched to see the noble deeds of the police officers, soldiers and philanthropists who have come to help the people of the North who are suffering from floods with all their love towards our beloved people of the North."

In recent days, many schools in Ho Chi Minh City have organized special "classes". During these special classes, students have watched the news and witnessed the losses and pain of the people in the North who were damaged by rain, floods, and Typhoon Yagi. Many students and teachers burst into tears when close-up footage of the people was shown...

Teachers and students of Tran Van On Secondary School (District 1) donate to support the people of the North during the flag salute ceremony on Monday morning, September 16.

On the first day of organizing the fundraising campaign to support the people of the North, Tran Van On Secondary School (District 1) raised more than 110 million VND from teachers and students of the school. Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang, Principal of the school, expressed that the school will take more money from the school's Spring of Love program to send the feelings and hearts of the teachers and students of the school, hoping to share some of it with the people of the North...
