Police speak out about the incident involving the use of patrol vehicles to block both ends of a restaurant.

On August 15th, Colonel Nguyen Van Thong, Head of the Staff Department of the Kien Giang Provincial Police, signed a press release providing specific information about the aforementioned incident.

Accordingly, at 10:30 PM on August 13th, authorities received a report from residents about approximately 150-200 young people gathering for a late-night drinking party, causing noise and disturbance, and disrupting security and order in the residential area at the "Thèm - Food Garden" restaurant (address A7-60, 3rd of February Street, Vinh Bao Ward, Rach Gia City).

While the forces were coordinating their duties, Mr. D.TA (39 years old, residing in Vinh Quang Ward, Rach Gia City), the manager of the restaurant, used his personal Facebook account to livestream a clip lasting over 4 minutes, recording images of two patrol trucks and traffic police and public order officers coordinating their duties, with the caption: "A strange thing I've never seen before at my restaurant."

"The Rach Gia City Police have worked with Mr. TA, who admitted to the violation and voluntarily removed the clip, while also committing not to repeat the offense. The content of the aforementioned clip violated the law, and organizations and individuals are requested not to post, share, or comment on it, creating negative public opinion in society," the press release stated.

Previously, a more than 4-minute-long video clip circulated on social media showing police and other authorities in Rach Gia City using specialized vehicles to block off both ends of a restaurant on 3rd of February Street (Vinh Bao Ward). The clip quickly attracted public attention, with many comments and shares, and a variety of conflicting opinions.
