Quang Tri Police visited and wished a happy new year to the police of the three provinces of Salavan, Champasak and Savannakhet.

From April 7-10, 2025, a delegation from the Quang Tri Provincial Police, led by the Provincial Police Director, Colonel Vu Van Dau, visited and extended New Year greetings to the police forces of three provinces (Laos): Salavan, Champasak, and Savannakhet, on the occasion of the traditional Bun Pi May New Year of the Lao ethnic groups.

On this occasion, Colonel Vu Van Dau, on behalf of the delegation, extended his deepest condolences to the police officers and soldiers of neighboring provinces on the passing of former President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Khamtay Sivandone - a leader of the first generation of the Lao revolution.

At the same time, we express our gratitude for the warm, cordial, and respectful welcome extended by the police forces of the provinces of Laos to our delegation, and send our best wishes for a happy and joyful Lunar New Year to the leaders, officers, and soldiers of the police forces of those provinces, and encourage them to continue to successfully fulfill their duties in ensuring security and order in their respective areas.

Colonel Vu Van Dau expressed his hope that the police forces of neighboring provinces would continue to cooperate closely and regularly with the Quang Tri police force in the fight against crime and maintaining security and order along the Vietnam-Laos border, contributing to the successful implementation of the contents of the memorandums of understanding that have been agreed upon and signed annually between the police forces of the provinces and the Quang Tri Police.

In an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity, the police leaders of the three provinces of Salavan, Champasak, and Savannakhet expressed their emotion and appreciation for the kind sentiments and special attention from the Quang Tri Provincial Police.

Through this, we hope that the relationship between the police forces of these units will be further preserved, nurtured, strengthened, and united to continue cooperating to maintain security and order in the border areas of Vietnam and Laos.
