Due to the impact of storm No. 5, heavy rains over a large area caused flooding in many localities in Thanh Hoa province. On National Highway 47, through Yen Nhan commune, many serious landslides appeared, causing traffic jams and isolating people in Yen Nhan and Bat Mot communes. More dangerously, at some curved and downhill locations, flash floods and flash floods along with rising river water have washed away 2/3 of the road surface, creating extremely dangerous deep ravines.

Faced with the above situation, the Provincial Police Director established a rescue team led by Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thai Quang Hoang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, to transport more than 1 ton of food including bread, canned meat, sausages, dry food and drinking water... directly to isolated villages to provide relief to the people.
Together with local forces, the provincial police mobilized more than 100 officers and soldiers to urgently march and approach the area severely damaged by landslides in Yen Nhan commune. Traffic was disrupted, officers and soldiers walked several kilometers from the commune center to transport essential supplies to the people. Unable to transport by motor vehicles due to landslides, the boxes of goods were carried on the shoulders of the soldiers, carrying both love and responsibility, and were quickly transported to the people.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Thai Quang Hoang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department, visited and encouraged people of Yen Nhan commune.
The luggage on the shoulders of each officer and soldier is not only necessities, but also responsibility, the solidarity between the army and the people... and the sharing of the difficulties and hardships of the people here. Mr. Quach The Thuan, Chairman of Yen Nhan Commune People's Committee, emotionally said: "Up to now, in Yen Nhan Commune, there are still 3 villages with 520 households and nearly 2,500 people completely isolated. For the past two days, the whole commune has lost electricity and communication, and with the Provincial Police providing food, water and food like this, the government and people feel very touched and reassured".
