Gia Lai Provincial Police summarize security work in 77 communes and wards in the West

(GLO)- On August 20, in Dien Hong ward, Gia Lai Provincial Police held a conference to review the basic professional work of the security force and the grassroots security work of 77 communes and wards in the western region of the province. Colonel Pham Huu Truong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police chaired the conference.

Since the beginning of 2025, the Police of 77 wards and communes in the West of the province have received and continuously carried out the basic professional work of the security force transferred by the District Police, without interrupting the work; coordinating with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to strictly manage the area and subjects.

In recent times, the communal police force has advised local Party committees and authorities to mobilize the entire political system to propagate and educate "Dega Protestant" followers to return to traditional religion; coordinate with professional units of the provincial police to destroy a ring that organized others to illegally flee abroad, preventing 4 cases from fleeing to Thailand; propagate and mobilize a number of subjects who crossed the border to Thailand to return to Vietnam.

After listening to the presentations on some current difficulties and shortcomings as well as measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of security work, Colonel Pham Huu Truong requested that in the coming time, the police of the communes in the West of Gia Lai need to grasp the situation, proactively and promptly handle security issues in the area; focus on basic investigation work; digitize professional records...

The Deputy Director of the Provincial Police also emphasized that the Commune Police need to realize that ensuring security at the grassroots level is a key and continuous task; it needs to be carried out regularly and continuously with the motto of knowing the job and being clear about the job.

On the same day, the commune-level police force was trained in 4 topics on immigration management (IMB) including: current legal documents and regulations on immigration management for Vietnamese citizens and foreigners; regulations on authority, assignment and decentralization of implementation of immigration management aspects in the People's Public Security force.

In addition, there are administrative procedures, functions, tasks, and authorities in handling administrative procedures, implementing online public services in the field of immigration management; internal verification process for issuing ordinary passports; management of immigration, residence, and activities of foreigners; prevention of illegal immigration; aviation security assurance, etc.
