Attending the event were leaders of Kon Ka Kinh National Park, authorities of Ayun and Dak So Mei communes; representatives of the Police and Forest Protection Department of Dak Doa and Mang Yang areas...
Kon Ka Kinh National Park currently manages and protects more than 41,913 hectares of forest spread across 47 sub-areas. In Dak So Mei commune, there are 3 sub-areas with an area of more than 3,426 hectares, and in Ayun commune, there are 7 sub-areas with an area of more than 5,240 hectares.
The forest ecosystem here is mainly mixed broadleaf evergreen forest, with rich and diverse animal and plant genetic resources, of economic value, conservation and scientific research. Regarding plants, there are many valuable species such as po mu, giổi, 5-leaf pine, green star, thuja, kim tuyen orchid, vang dang, sâm cau, sâm khoe, linh chi mushroom... Regarding animals, there are gray-shanked douc langurs, red-faced monkeys, pig-tailed monkeys, gibbons, king cobras...

Although forest resources and forest land are strictly protected, there is still a risk of encroachment. People often take advantage of the night to illegally exploit, transport and store wood along the trails and small paths in the border area; at the same time, they hunt, trap and trade wild animals. Some ethnic minority households still use hunting guns, homemade guns, and encroach on forest land for farming.
Therefore, to improve forest management, protection, development and strictly investigate and handle violations in the forestry sector, Kon Ka Kinh National Park proactively built a coordination regulation between the Park and local authorities and functional forces of the two communes.

The content of the coordination regulations focuses on propagating and mobilizing people to participate in forest management, protection and development; forest fire prevention and control; developing a plan to patrol and protect forests at the root; coordinating investigation and effectively handling acts of encroachment on forest resources.
On that basis, it contributes to limiting illegal exploitation, trading, and transportation of forest products as well as hunting of wild animals and encroachment of forest land for farming in the forest area of Kon Ka Kinh National Park.

In particular, the leaders of the Park, the leaders of the People's Committees of the two communes and the functional forces regularly maintain close contact, mobilizing the police, militia and people to participate in investigating, preventing and strictly handling acts of encroachment on forest resources and wild animals according to the law.
