Ho Chi Minh City Police deploy forces to ensure security at Con Dao Airport

Ho Chi Minh City Police held a ceremony to deploy forces to ensure security and order at Con Dao Airport, identifying this as a target and key project that needs to be absolutely protected.

On September 7, in Con Dao, Ho Chi Minh City Police held a launching ceremony to deploy a plan to ensure security and order at Con Dao Airport.

Attending the event were leaders of Con Dao Special Zone, representatives of functional departments of Ho Chi Minh City Police, Military Defense Command of Region 6, Border Guard of Special Zone, Southern Airport Authority, Con Dao Airport, and more than 120 officers, soldiers, workers and employees of the forces.

Con Dao Airport plays an important role, serving both civil and military aviation activities and contributing to ensuring national defense and security, and developing the local economy and society. This is also a target and key project in counter-terrorism, always under strict management and protection.

According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, in the context of complicated developments in the world and the region, airports are at risk of becoming targets of terrorism and illegal interference. Therefore, the development and implementation of security plans at Con Dao Airport is an urgent task that needs to be carried out regularly, continuously and synchronously.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Phan Huy Van said that implementing the Ministry of Public Security's project on taking over the task of ensuring aviation security, Ho Chi Minh City Police has issued a plan to deploy forces at Con Dao Airport.

In particular, clearly assign tasks and forces to each unit, develop response scenarios, and closely coordinate plans with the government, army, border guards and functional units to promptly handle situations, not allowing any incidents to occur that affect aviation security and safety.

Ho Chi Minh City Police also requested that forces thoroughly grasp the sense of responsibility, firmly grasp the tasks, assign "clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear time, clear responsibility", determined to absolutely protect the safety of Con Dao Airport, not allowing terrorism, sabotage or other types of crimes to occur.
