Police dismantle a major drug trafficking ring in Da Lat.

(NLĐO) - After months of persistent investigation, the Lam Dong Provincial Police have arrested five people involved in a drug trafficking ring led by Truong Ngoc Hoa in Da Lat.

On May 23, the Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Police issued a decision to temporarily detain Truong Ngoc Hoa (35 years old, from Ninh Binh), Trinh Thanh Trung (34 years old, from Can Tho ), Nguyen Duc Thien (21 years old, from Lam Dong), Le Nhat Huy (31 years old), and Trinh Duc Phong (22 years old) in connection with a drug trafficking ring in Da Lat.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Police, at the end of January 2026, Tuan was charged with buying, selling, organizing the use of, and illegally possessing narcotics. Based on this suspect, the Lam Dong Provincial Police persistently investigated and identified the members of the drug trafficking ring.

On the morning of May 19th, police raided an unmarked room on Cao Thang Street (Lang Biang Ward – Da Lat) and arrested Thien (born in 2005, from Lam Ha).

The young man admitted to selling drugs to Tuan and revealed the locations where the drugs were hidden.

Shortly afterwards, the Lang Biang Ward Police in Da Lat raided a house on Cao Thang Street, catching Huy and Phong red-handed buying, selling, and illegally using drugs.

Another reconnaissance team quickly issued an emergency arrest warrant for Hoa and Trung while they were hiding in Cam Ly ward, Da Lat. Hoa was identified as the ringleader of this drug trafficking network.

During an emergency search of the residences of these five individuals, investigators seized approximately 1 kg of ketamine, 20 synthetic drug pills, 37 packets of "happy water" (a new, highly toxic mixed drug targeting young people), and other related evidence.
