Police investigate case of teacher beating 2-year-old in Ca Mau.

The Ai Linh private preschool (Hamlet 3, Ganh Hao Commune, Ca Mau) has been temporarily suspended from operation to facilitate an investigation into the alleged beating of a 2-year-old girl by her teacher, resulting in bruises on her face and back.

On November 5th, a leader of the People's Committee of Ganh Hao commune ( Ca Mau province) announced that the Ai Linh private preschool group (Hamlet 3, Ganh Hao commune) has temporarily suspended operations to facilitate an investigation into the incident where a 2-year-old girl was allegedly beaten by her teacher, resulting in bruises on her face and back.

According to a report from the People's Committee of the commune, the Ai Linh Children's Group, owned by Ms. Nguyen Hoang Ai Linh (39 years old), currently has 14 children enrolled.

On October 28th, the parents of two-year-old N. discovered their child was injured, took photos as evidence, and reported the incident to the authorities.

Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of the commune, in coordination with the commune police and Sao Bien Kindergarten (the school responsible for managing the daycare group), went to work with the owner of the daycare group. Initial verification results showed signs of abuse as reported, so the commune decided to temporarily suspend the facility's operation and support the parents in taking the children for examination and psychological support.

Mr. K. (N.'s father) said that since being beaten, the child often panics when meeting strangers, wakes up startled at night, and cries out the teacher's name.

"I work far away from home, and upon hearing the news, I had to rush back to take care of my child. My wife also had to take time off work to stay home with the baby. Our family life has been turned upside down. I just hope that the case will be handled seriously to restore my child's trust and prevent other children from being abused like this," he said.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Nguyen Hoang Ai Linh said that the case is currently under investigation by the police, so she had no further comment.

The leaders of Gành Hào commune People's Committee said they are coordinating with the police to continue investigating and clarifying the responsibilities of the individuals involved. During the period when the daycare center temporarily ceased operations, Sao Biển Kindergarten accepted four children who needed temporary schooling.
