208 higher education institutions have been announced as meeting quality accreditation standards.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - As of December 31, 2024, there were 208 higher education institutions nationwide that met domestic and international quality accreditation standards.


The Ministry of Education and Training also announced that more than 2,200 higher education training programs have met quality accreditation standards as of December 31st.

Specifically, 196 higher education institutions and 11 teacher training colleges have been accredited and recognized as meeting educational quality standards by domestic educational quality accreditation organizations.

In particular, the Ministry of Education and Training also announced the schools that have been accredited and recognized as meeting educational quality standards by foreign quality accreditation organizations, including 12 higher education institutions:

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (VNU-HCM); Da Nang University of Technology; Hanoi University of Technology; Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; University of Science (VNU-Hanoi); Ton Duc Thang University; International University (VNU-HCM); Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics ; British University Vietnam (BUV); Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Van Lang University; National Economics University.

Thus, the number of higher education institutions that have been accredited and certified reached 86.3%. Including the police and military sectors, 208 out of 278 higher education institutions have undergone quality accreditation, achieving a rate of 74.8%.

According to the Quality Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Training, 269 units have completed their first self-assessment reports based on the domestic standards; including 247 higher education institutions and 22 teacher training colleges.

The number of institutions that completed the second cycle of self-assessment is 127 higher education institutions and 3 teacher training colleges.

Recently, the Quality Management Department issued a document requesting higher education institutions to comply with regulations on quality management and for quality accreditation organizations to comply with regulations on educational quality accreditation.

Regarding educational quality assurance, higher education institutions need to focus on continuously improving and developing their internal quality assurance systems; implementing and evaluating the results of quality improvement after self-assessment and external evaluation.

Higher education institutions should implement appropriate solutions in building and operating management information systems and developing training programs that meet output standards; strengthen domestic and international cooperation on quality assurance; and ensure the quantity and improve the capacity of the quality assurance workforce.
