Announcing new Dong Nai province personnel decisions

On the morning of June 30, at Long Hung Conference Center (Long Hung commune, Bien Hoa city), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province held a ceremony to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on merging provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing Party organizations, and appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces, communes, and wards.

Attending the event were comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission. On the side of Dong Nai province, there were comrades: Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee.

On the side of Binh Phuoc province, there were comrades: Ton Ngoc Hanh, alternate member of the Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Huynh Thi Hang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments, communes and wards of the two localities.

At the ceremony, Comrade Bui Van Nghiem, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, announced Resolution No. 202 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly on the establishment of the new Dong Nai province on the basis of merging Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces. After the arrangement, Dong Nai province has a natural area of ​​12,737.18 km2 and a population of 4,491,408 people.

At the same time, Decision No. 2158 dated June 23, 2025 of the Politburo on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, and Deputy Secretaries of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was announced.

The Dong Nai Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term has 66 comrades (including 33 members of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Executive Committee, 32 members of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Executive Committee and 1 member who is the Chief Justice of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Court who has just been appointed as Chief Justice of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Court); the Provincial Party Standing Committee has 15 comrades (Dong Nai has 8 comrades, Binh Phuoc has 7 comrades).

Comrade Vu Hong Van, Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, was appointed to hold the position of new Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee. Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee, was appointed to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of new Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
